The Illinois Destinations Association (IDA) is pleased to announce the election of their Board of Directors for 2024-2025. The Association greatly appreciates the knowledge and expertise in the area of tourism in the State of Illinois. Members of the IDA Board oversee its financial direction, the organization’s legislative advocacy policies, the educational makeup of its member meetings, and the creation/improvement of member services. The newly elected Board will take over leadership of IDA on July 1, 2024. Their term of service will run through June 30, 2025.

The Association provides educational opportunities that raise the level of professionalism in the travel industry, and it provides a forum for networking and cooperative action between the members. It also maintains a proactive legislative and advocacy effort on issues that affect tourism and business travel in Illinois through its Advocacy and Legislative Affairs Committee.
